Hand-tied casket sheafs are a traditional funeral display, where flowers are arranged into a large, lush bouquet that sits atop the casket.
The stems of a single-ended casket sheaf are exposed, highlighting the bouquet style, and making these tributes easy to reuse in a vase for the wake.
Completely foam-free and eco-friendly, our hand-tied casket sheafs are available in your choice of size and colour. We use local growers who have an ever changing selection of flowers, so availability will differ from season to season.
Single-ended (or hand-tied) casket sheafs can be delivered the day prior to the service in water, making them a great choice if you are travelling regionally or have an early morning service.

WHEN WILL THE FLOWERS ARRIVE?
We deliver approximately 30-60 minutes before the service starts. This allows us time to place the flowers or assemble the sheaf, depending upon your chosen design.
If you are having a viewing before the service please let us know so that we can arrive before friends & family.
CAN THEY BE DELIVERED THE DAY BEFORE?
Our eco-friendly funeral designs have a very limited water source, and some require on-site assembly by a trained florist.
With the exception of our single-ended casket sheafs, it is best to have them delivered directly to the location of the service, on the day.
HOW ARE THEY ECO-FRIENDLY?
We create hand-tied sheafs that are finished with natural twine, or use Argrawool bases.
These are a Sustainable Floristry Network approved foam alternative, and are made from spun basalt with a plant-based, starch binder.

Our designs are free from waste, such as traditional foam + plastic bases, and free from imported flowers. If the environment was important to your loved one, we are the right choice for you.
no floral foam
Floral foam is a microplastic that is terrible for our environment. It is listed in SARA Hazard Categories as both an Acute Health Hazard and a Chronic Health Hazard. We proudly design our tributes and funeral flowers without using any floral foam.
